Royal GovernsThe trustees didn't want the settlers to have self government, so John Reynolds wanted to give them self-government. He made a bicameral, to represent the 8 parishes of Georgia. There were 2 legislatures in the bicameral, Common House of Assembly and Governor's Council. To be in the Common House of Assembly you had to own 50+ acres of land. To be in the Governor's Council you had to own 500+ acres of land.
